James Hutchings was born on 2nd November 1930 in Strood in Kent.
He was the youngest of the three sons of Edgar & Elizabeth Hutchings.
From a young age it became apparent that Jim had two talents,
the first was to make people laugh, he had a natural wit and the
ability to see the funny side in almost any situation. The second
was his gift for drawing.
Put the two together and you have Jim Hutchings, the cartoonist.
Although my Dad has now left us I hope through this site his unique
and brilliant sense of humour will live on and he will continue to
bring a smile to many faces.
